The load-bearing capacity and modulus of elasticity of the steel structure decrease linearly when the temperature rises above 500 °C due to fire.

According to the provisions of the OTSZ 54/2014 (XII.5.) BM regulation, individual building structures must have appropriate fire resistance. The required fire resistance for thin-walled steel structures is provided by the fire-resistant cladding.
